M. Bray, 99, went home to her Lord and Savior Friday,
June 18, 2010. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in
Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Visitation: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood
Funeral Home. Lillie was born Nov. 7, 1910, in Big
Spring and spent her last 69 years in Fort Worth. Lillie
was a member of University Baptist Church for 24 years,
Eastern Star 684 and Big Spring High School Ex-Student
Association. She retired from Montgomery Ward after 20
years of service. The family offers a special
"thank-you" to Comfort Keepers; her caregiver, Vicki
Whitbeck; and her dear friends, Paul Curtis, Mary
Lovegren, Diana Mitchell and Doris Middleton. She was
preceded in death by her husband of 79 years, O.V. Bray,
who was 100 when he passed away. Survivors: Son, William
C. "Bill" Bray and wife, Lois N.; granddaughter, Lisa
Ann Bray of Humble; grandsons, William C. Bray Jr. and
John C. Bray and wife, Sherry; great-grandsons, Jarrett
and Cullen Bray of San Antonio; several nieces and
nephews and especially Lynn "Corky" Curtis; and her
beloved dog, Augie.
