Homecoming 2011

The usual Thursday bonfire is to be a simulated bonfire at the amphitheater, due to the burn ban. The rally begins at 8:00 pm.

/Friday, September 30:
3:00 pm                       Pep Rally, Steer Gym
We will recognize the classes of 2001 (seated in the bleachers on the court northeast side of gym) all other classes (91, 81, 71, 61, etc.) will be seated on the gym floor Southside.
4:30 pm                       Homecoming Parade
Parade forms up at 4 pm at 11th and Donley. Student Union Council sponsors will order floats and other rides.
7:30 pm                       Football, Memorial Stadium, vs. Greenwood
All cheerleaders from classes of 01, 91, 81, 71, etc. will meet Mr. Mike Ritchey at the Steer run-through tunnel at 7:00 for introduction and formation of victory line.
Post-game reception with free finger foods and healthy drinks In the Fireplace Room, Howard College SUB, for all Exes.

Saturday, October 1:
10 am – 1 pm Big Spring High School Open House
10 AM             Heritage Museum, open house, free admission (then and now
                       picture exhibit)

There will be no Hall of Fame induction this year. Last year it was the BSHS Steer Band

who competed in UIL State Finals in 2001. Next year we will update all categories. After that we will have an induction every third year.

BSHS 1947-51

The classes of 47-51 invite all BSHS EXES to our Homecoming dance at the Country Club for an enjoyable evening of dancing to a country western band. Cost $15.00. Pay at the door. The band is "Lariat' with Mark Powell (based in Abilene).

BSHS 1957

The Class of 1957 will meet for lunch, Saturday, October 1, at 11:30 at Wagon Wheel Drive-in, 2010 Scurry. The Wagon Wheel was formerly Masters Drive-in at 2011 Gregg. We do not have a class reunion until 2012, but some of the local classmembers are calling as many as we can, so we hope there will be a big turnout.
