Dear Classmates:

FORTY FIVE AND STILL KICKIN!!  We have so many memories we share and new memories we may want to share with some of our oldest—and dearest—friends. Please make plans right now to attend the BSHS Class of ’65 Forty-Fifth Reunion. Your presence is a MUST—a gift to the rest of us. All activities with the exception of the football game with be held at "The Courtyard" which is the newly opened, completely renovated and restored former Big Spring Hardware, located at 117 Main Street.

 ACTIVITIES 

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

• 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Registration at Ronnie Baird's house, 109 Canyon. Your packets will be there!
• Float Decorating

 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

• 12 noon - Registration continues at The Courtyard; bring silent auction items for viewing and bidding!

• 3:30 p.m. Meet in front of Big Spring High School (parade route is pending)
• 4:00 p.m. Ride on Class Float in Homecoming Parade

Return to The Courtyard for visitation

• 7:30 p.m. Football Game - Steers vs Monahans
• The Courtyard will be open from 5:00 - Midnight; B.Y.O.B., more visiting, music, and memory-making!

 SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 

• 9:00 a.m. Golf Tournament - See registration sheet.
• 12:00 noon Lunch on your own
• 1:00 p.m. - Midnight; The Courtyard will be open
• 5:30 p.m. Group picture
• 6:30 p.m. - Catfish Dinner cooked & served at Courtyard
• 7:00 p.m.  -  Midnight ; Live auction, dancing, remembering....etc..

 Cost: $50 per person includes everything but golf and pictures. Scholarships are available to reunion.  All requests will be confidential.

 Suggested motels: (Please tell them you are with the Class of 1965/Ann Duncan's group). The Hampton, La Quinta, and Palace Inn are properties opened within the past year.  The Holiday Inn Express was new in '05 when we had our 40th reunion!  All offer hot breakfast included in the per night room cost. These rates are also good for the dates of September 16-19, 2010, for those who want to come in early or stay late!! Check web sites to see rooms, etc.

 Prices good for reservations made by August 15, 2010.

 Now let's talk SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER!!  We know there are those of you out there who would be willing to donate something to auction at our Saturday night event!  To endow our scholarship fund and make it perpetual with only the interest used to provide annual scholarship monies, we must deposit a minimum of $5,000 at Howard College. 

 Do you have a time share that you would offer for a weekend?  How about one of your art pieces?  A collectible?  We hope to have 5-6 (or more?) live auction items plus 10-12 silent auction pieces to offer on Saturday night.  Bring your checkbooks and let's have some fun and "grow" our endowment fund!

Golf

The Class of '65 golf tournament will be held at the newly renovated Big Spring Municipal Golf Course and Club House, tee time 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18.  You won't BELIEVE how good it looks!!  It will be a 4-person scramble (closest ball to the hole). The $30.00 fee includes cart, range ball, and green fee. Deadline to pay and play is Wednesday, September 15.
